Lakeshore Landing is the waterfront development underway by developers Mary & Roland Von Kurnatowski, the founders of Tipitina's Foundation, the owners of the iconic music venue Tipitina's, and partners in the historic renovation of the Orpheum Theater.

The Lakeshore Landing vision is to re-develop the site at the end of Lakeshore Drive, adjacent to South Shore Harbor Marina and the New Orleans Lakefront Airport.  The first feature of the site is the newly constructed boathouse for the National WWII Museum’s fully restored PT-305 boat.  The boathouse will provide a dedicated training space, workshop and boat side exhibit area, and projects close to 50,000 visitors annually.

The next phase of the Von Kurnatowski’s vision is to establish a premiere entertainment destination which will include the addition of a marina store and fuel dock, the renovation of the existing shuttered Bally’s Casino building into a covered open air pavilion and food hall style restaurant with outdoor decking, and a multi-purpose recreational and live event space to include an amphitheater, festival grounds, green space and waterfront recreational opportunities.

We want to bring people back to the lakefront to enjoy the atmosphere whether for a concert, meal with friends, picnic with family or just to relax. Our vision for Lakeshore Landing is to create an accessible, waterfront community that invokes the nostalgia of growing up on Lake Ponchartrain while creating new memories for New Orleans’ next generation through music, food, land and lake.”
